Evangel Seminary (Evangel Seminary) was founded in 1932 by Pastor Liang Guimin, a priest of the Christian American Mission Society in China, in Henan, Guangzhou. Due to changes in the political situation, he moved to Hong Kong and then took classes at Houwang Road in Kowloon City and Kent Road in Kowloon Tong. In 1957, he moved to the current site at 59 Kimberon Road, Kowloon Tong. In 1965, “Guangzhou Bible College” was officially renamed as Preaching Theological Seminary. At the end of July 2019, it moved to No. 38-46 Lan Sau Road, Phase 6, Mei Foo Sun Village, Lai Chi Kok (the former address was De Yan College and the Mei Foo Branch of the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong).
